The Queer Muslim Project is an award-winning cultural platform and Asia’s leading digital network for queer, Muslim and diverse voices. We use art, culture and media to challenge harmful stereotypes, build power and visibility of underrepresented artists and storytellers, and enable them to shape their own narratives.

We nurture and develop emerging queer talent and provide them with the tools, resources and networks to tell stories that can drive sustainable change. Through digital media, cultural production and movement-building, we shape and influence public perceptions of queerness in a way that counters intentional misrepresentation and socially-reinforced stereotypes.

What We Do

We use digital media, storytelling and artistic production to re-narrate public conceptions of queerness in a way that makes visible the diversity of queer lived experiences in the region and transcends intentional misrepresentation and socially-reinforced stereotypes.
Our programs enable an ecosystem for queer, Muslim and diverse storytellers to become cultural leaders and contribute to complex and nuanced queer narratives in popular media.

We use art, culture and media to challenge harmful stereotypes and norms, build power and visibility of underrepresented LGBTQIA+ storytellers and enable them to shape their own narratives.

The Queer Muslim Project is Asia’s leading digital and cultural platform for diverse LGBTQIA+ individuals, with a global community of over 70,000 people.
